VATAN

VATAN – Ghar Ka Khana, Globally Being away from home does not mean you have to be away from the taste of home. VATAN is a community-driven app that connects people through home-cooked food. It helps travelers, students, professionals and people living away from home discover meals prepared by people from their own community. Whether you are travelling to another city, visiting another country, or simply missing the food you grew up with, VATAN helps you find a little piece of home wherever you go. DISCOVER HOME-COOKED FOOD Find available meals shared by people in your community. Browse meals by community and food preference, and view useful details such as the host, location, number of plates and pickup time. FIND YOUR COMMUNITY Food is about more than taste. It is about culture, familiarity and belonging. VATAN helps you discover meals and connect with people who share your community or cultural connection, whether you are Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Jain or part of another community. SHARE YOUR GHAR KA KHANA AND EARN Love cooking? With VATAN, home cooks can share the meals they prepare with people in their community and earn an income from their cooking. Hosts can post available meals by adding the dish name, number of plates, vegetarian or non-vegetarian preference, pickup time and location. VATAN creates an opportunity for home cooks to turn something they already love doing — cooking — into an additional source of income while building connections within their community. KNOW YOUR MEAL Before requesting a meal, travelers can view important information such as: • Meal and food preference • Host information • Community or sub-community • Number of plates available • Pickup time • Pickup location This helps travelers make an informed choice before requesting a meal.
