The Arena is here: five new puzzles every week. • Five different kinds of thinking — logic, deduction, chance, arithmetic and graphs. • Free, unscored, and kept apart from the test. Arena puzzles never appear in the IQ …Two things in the Arena. • A new puzzle: The last word. Full description
Most IQ apps are ad-stuffed trivia quizzes with fake scores. TrueIQ is the opposite: a psychometrically serious instrument that happens to be beautiful. • Adaptive, up to 12 minutes free. A computerized adaptive test (3PL IRT) that adjusts to your level after every answer and stops when it has measured you precisely. The free test is the Quick form; the premium Standard and Deep forms run longer and measure tighter. • Your score is free. IQ estimate, percentile, and an honest confidence band — shown immediately, on device, no signup and no email wall. The free tier is one Quick test; retesting, every 30 days so a second score means something, is part of premium. • Laboratory-grade timing. Reaction speed is measured from the display's vsync to the kernel's touch timestamp — precise to a few milliseconds. Web tests cannot do this. • Calibrated for your device. A 20-second calibration measures your screen and touch latency and subtracts it, so your speed score measures you, not your phone's price. • Works completely offline. Items are generated on your device, so the full test and report run with zero network — even in airplane mode. • Private by design. Nothing leaves your phone unless you opt in. No account, no ads, no third-party trackers. Delete everything with one tap. • Validated, with numbers. θ recovery r = 0.954 with guessing simulated in a 10,000-examinee simulation, SEM calibrated within 12%, no tail bias. We publish the numbers on the methodology screen and invite you to check. • Read part of your report before paying. The "What your score means" section, written for your own result, is free in full — not blurred, not a sample. And when your test ends we take one of your own questions and work it out in full — the correct option marked, yours marked too, and an explanation of how that kind of puzzle is built. We can do that because the questions are generated on your device from rules, so we know why an answer is right, not just which one is. • 78 reasoning styles, 5 domains. Fluid reasoning, quantitative reasoning, working memory, processing speed and visual-spatial — from matrix, analogy and set-logic puzzles to mental rotation, paper-folding, cube nets, gear trains, light-path and marble-drop tasks — interleaved so it never gets repetitive, and every session spreads across the whole bank. • Interactive, animated items. Several families move: gears mesh, a beam reflects off mirrors, a marble falls through diverters — real physical reasoning, rendered at native refresh, not static clip-art. • Generated fresh, every time. Questions are built on your device from rule-based generators, not a fixed image bank — so they can't be screenshotted to answer-key sites, and a retest actually measures change, not memory. • No question is guessable by elimination. Every wrong answer is a real reasoning error a careful person might make — not a random filler you can reject on sight. That's what makes each item discriminating. • A report that is a psychometric artifact, not AI improvisation. The optional one-time upgrade opens a ~12-page personalized cognitive profile — per-domain strengths, a speed/accuracy analysis (credible only because of the timing above), and concrete, skill-based suggestions. It also replays your test: tap any question to see the exact item worked out, with the correct answer and your own answer marked. Reproducible, offline, in seconds. In short — typical IQ apps hand you an inflated number and a badge; TrueIQ hands you a measurement you can trust. The app even shows you, point by point, exactly how it differs. TrueIQ is an estimate — indicative, not a clinical or diagnostic instrument. Age 13+.

What's new

Two things in the Arena. • A new puzzle: The last word. Two people each know half of where a card is hidden, and all you hear is them saying "I don't know" — until suddenly one of them does. Nothing else in the pool reasons from what somebody fails to know. • You can now see whether you got it right. Every answer says so in a word, right under the button, with the time it took and what it cost.
