Full description
Track your miles. Keep your deduction. No account, no signup, no email. TripTally is a mileage and expense tracker for people who drive for a living - Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, Grubhub, Amazon Flex, Shipt and more. It is built by one developer who drives too. HOW THE FREE TRIAL WORKS - PLEASE READ THIS FIRST When you install TripTally you get 14 days of Pro. You do not enter a credit card. You do not create an account or hand over an email address. Nothing gets charged automatically, because there is nothing on file to charge. On day 15 the trial ends and the app does not lock you out. Mileage, earnings, expenses, the tax centre and CSV export all keep working, free, for as long as you want them. What the free tier gives up: you see the last 30 days of records instead of your whole history, and the Pro features below switch off. Nothing is deleted. Older records stay on your phone and reappear in full the moment Pro is active, and backup and restore always cover everything, so you can never lose data you can't currently see. Pro adds PDF tax reports, Bluetooth auto-trip (trips start and stop when your car connects), receipt scanning, recurring expenses, advanced insights and unlimited history. THE 2026 MID-YEAR IRS RATE CHANGE, HANDLED The IRS raised the business standard mileage rate partway through 2026: 72.5 cents a mile through June 30, then 76 cents from July 1. If you drove across that date your deduction uses both rates. TripTally prices every trip at the rate for the date you actually drove it, so a split year needs no manual math. Older rates back to 2022 are built in, which keeps imported history correct too. THE OVERLAY - CHECK TRACKING WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR NAV APP TripTally can show a floating bubble on top of whatever you are already using. Waze, Google Maps, your driver app. You can see that tracking is running, on the screen you are already looking at, without switching apps mid-route. That matters because of how mileage apps lose you money. They do not fail loudly. You find out in April that a whole shift never recorded. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE There is no TripTally account, because there are no TripTally servers holding your trips. Your earnings, expenses and mileage live in storage on your own device. A few things can reach the network and each one is your choice. Trip routes are drawn offline as a sketch by default; real map tiles load only if you turn them on, and the app tells you first that doing so asks OpenStreetMap for tiles. Backup to Google Drive runs only when you start it. Subscription billing goes through Google Play. Feedback you send comes to us — and if it can't get through, the app tells you and offers to email it instead. That is the list. WHAT YOU GET - Mileage log priced at the IRS rate for each trip's own date - Earnings by platform, with tips, $/hour and $/mile - Expenses in 10 categories: fuel, vehicle, phone, tolls, parking and more - Floating overlay over navigation and driver apps - CSV export with date, miles, route, business purpose and deduction - Backup to a file, Google Drive or your Downloads folder - No account, no signup, no email address - 14-day Pro trial with no credit card WHO IT IS FOR Uber and Lyft drivers. DoorDash, Instacart, Grubhub, Amazon Flex and Shipt couriers and shoppers. Anyone self-employed who needs a mileage log that holds up at tax time and would rather not hand their driving history to a company to get it. Questions: www.mytriptally.com TripTally is not a tax preparer and does not file your return. Talk to a tax professional about your own situation.

What's new

The app now fits your screen • Every screen sizes itself to your phone, so the Start trip button stays in reach, even with a large font size. • Clearer setup: the consent checkboxes sit right next to the button they unlock, and setup prompts come two at a time.
