Traversal

Traversal is an original two-player strategy board game played on a 10×10 grid of varying terrain heights. Command six pieces across a three-dimensional landscape of mountains and valleys while your opponent races the other direction. Move your pieces off the opposite edge to score. The highest score wins. UNIQUE EVERY GAME Every match is played on a different randomly generated board. Choose from a wide variety of terrains: Random, Mountains, Valleys, Highlands, Woodlands, Desert, etc. each producing a different style of landscape. No two games are alike. THREE DISTINCT PIECES Each player commands two of each piece type. A piece's Movement and Strength always sum to 6. Faster pieces are weaker in combat, stronger pieces are slower. • Explorer — Movement 5, Strength 1. The most mobile piece on the board. Can move diagonally or leap over terrain. • Vanguard — Movement 4, Strength 2. Gains bonus attack strength on a full-movement charge. Rewards aggressive positioning. • Sentinel — Movement 3, Strength 3. If a Sentinel is the first piece of either side to finish, that player wins instantly. High risk, high reward. TERRAIN MATTERS Height changes cost extra movement. Controlling the high ground grants combat advantage as attacking downhill adds strength, attacking uphill weakens your assault. Every step is a tactical decision. TACTICAL COMBAT Capture enemy pieces by attacking when adjacent. Effective strength is modified by elevation, allied support, and defensive reinforcements. Position your pieces carefully — formation and terrain can turn a weak piece into a decisive attacker.
