Why I built TravelYa Every time I traveled, I struggled to gather everything I wanted to see and keep it organized in one place. And once I got there, standing in front of a building or a monument, I often didn't know what I was looking at - so I'd end up searching on my phone instead of enjoying the moment. Now I can just ask - and I can even have my favorite AI chat plan the whole trip and import it in one tap. I also wanted simpler navigation. I like to explore a city on foot or by bike, wandering off the route and finding my way back to it, so I wanted something that shows me the rough way to the next stop without nagging me, and that I can pause whenever I like. And I love having a record of every place I've been. I built TravelYa for myself. If it's useful to you too, I'm happy to share it. - Uroš TravelYa is a trip planner that keeps working when your signal doesn't. Collect the places you want to see, organize them into categories, plan routes between them and take everything on the road - even offline. No account, no ads, no tracking: your trips stay on your phone. PLAN YOUR TRIP • Create trips and organize places into categories - museums, food, viewpoints, whatever fits your trip • Add places by search, by picking them on the map, by typing coordinates, or by sharing a location from another maps app • Keep notes, photos, opening hours and documents such as tickets and bookings with each place • Mark places as must-see, tick them off as visited, and keep a history of everywhere you've been • Packing list for every trip OFFLINE MAPS AND ROUTES • Download maps for the countries you visit and use them without a connection • Plan routes between your places offline - by car, bike, moped or on foot • Let TravelYa work out a good order for your stops • Simple stop-to-stop navigation: it points you towards the next place, lets you wander off and come back, and can be paused any time IMPORT AND SHARE • Import and export GPX files • Export your visited places as KML • Share a whole trip as a .travelya file - the recipient opens it straight in TravelYa PLAN WITH THE AI CHAT YOU ALREADY USE - NO API KEY NEEDED TravelYa can export its trip-planning skill: a set of instructions that turns your favorite AI chat assistant into a TravelYa trip planner. • Export the skill from Settings and give it to your AI assistant • It interviews you about your destination, dates and interests, checks every place against map data and finds photos • It hands you back a .travelya file - open it and the whole trip, with categories, places and a travel guide, appears in TravelYa Use whichever assistant you prefer, with the subscription you already have. OPTIONAL AI ASSISTANT IN THE APP Connect your own key from an AI provider and TravelYa can: • Plan a trip from your destination, dates and interests, with every place checked against map data • Write a travel guide: history, highlights, typical food, getting around, local phrases • Suggest places for a category and answer questions about a place or your trip - handy when you're standing in front of something and want to know what you're looking at AI is completely optional and runs on your own provider key (some providers offer a free tier); requests go straight from your phone to the provider you choose. Everything else in TravelYa works without it.
