Travel Sitka is the app from Sitka Through 4 Seasons, the visitor guide people have picked up in Sitka for more than 30 years. It puts the guide in your pocket, and most of it keeps working when your phone loses signal. FIND YOUR WAY, SIGNAL OR NOT The map of Sitka is built into the app, so it works in airplane mode, out on a trail or anywhere cell service drops. See where you are, what's close by and how far it is to walk. TAKE THE WALKING TOUR Nineteen stops through Sitka's history, ending at Sitka National Historical Park and the Alaska Raptor Center. The app shows the route on the map, tells you how far it is to the next stop and opens that stop when you get there. ASK A LOCAL Type a question like "Where can I get chowder?" or "What can we do on a rainy day?" and get real places from the guide, with directions a tap away. Suggested questions change with the time of day and the season.
