Full description
Trail Pack is an offline field planner for hiking trips. Create a trip, outline each day by hand, keep route notes, and build a pack list from a reusable gear library — all on this device. **Trips** Create a trip with a name, start and end dates, and an optional target pack weight. Open a trip to work through itinerary, notes, and packing. **Day-by-day itinerary** Add hiking days yourself: day number, title, distance, elevation gain, and optional route notes. Distances and elevation are values you enter. Trail Pack is not a map, GPS, or turn-by-turn navigator. **Route notes** Save preparation notes such as water ideas, camps, permits, or transport. Notes are typed by you and stored locally. **Gear library** Add gear once (name, category, weight, carry type, optional notes) and reuse it. A small starter set is created on first launch: backpack, shelter, sleeping bag, water bottle, one day of trail food, and a rain shell. Carry types are In pack, Worn, and Consumable. **Pack lists and weight** Check items off as you pack. Planned pack weight is base + consumable weight. Worn items are shown in the library but are not counted in pack weight. Optional trip targets compare the planned pack against the number you set. Reusable templates copy gear into a trip without changing the existing list. **Units and theme** Metric (g, kg, km, m) or imperial (oz, lb, mi, ft). Light, dark, or system theme. **Private by design** All data stays in this app’s private storage. Trail Pack does not use the internet, accounts, analytics, ads, location, weather, or emergency services. Android backup and device transfer are disabled by the app, but a device maker may still move files with system tools outside the app’s control. Uninstalling the app permanently removes its data. Trail Pack helps organise preparation. It is not a navigation, weather, rescue, or emergency service.
