Full description

TRAILERFADE Can you become invisible to nature? Trailerfade transforms every hike into a unique challenge: reduce your acoustic footprint, move more quietly through natural environments, and earn points by becoming less noticeable to the world around you. Inspired by the behavior of wild animals, Trailerfade invites you to develop a new way of hiking. Every step, every movement, and every sound matters. The quieter you are, the higher your Invisibility Score. Track your hikes, measure your progress, earn Trail Points, unlock achievements, and challenge yourself to become a true Wolf Hiker. FEATURES • Acoustic Invisibility Score • Real-time environmental sound awareness • GPS hike tracking • Trail Points and achievements • Hike statistics and history • Community and friends features • OpenStreetMap integration • Ecological awareness tools • Personal progress tracking A NEW KIND OF OUTDOOR CHALLENGE Most outdoor applications encourage people to go farther, faster, or higher. Trailerfade introduces a different challenge: Can you move through nature without dominating it? Can you become less noticeable? Can you learn to reduce your impact on the living world around you? Every hike becomes a game where success is measured not only by distance traveled, but by your ability to move respectfully through natural environments. THE BIOCENTRIC APPROACH Trailerfade was inspired by the work of Professor Erik Geslin, researcher in cognition, neuroscience, and interactive media. For many years, Professor Geslin explored how games and interactive media can influence human behavior. Trailerfade applies these principles to outdoor recreation by using gamification to encourage more respectful interactions with ecosystems. Rather than placing humans at the center of every experience, Trailerfade promotes a biocentric perspective, encouraging users to pay closer attention to wildlife, natural soundscapes, and the ecological consequences of their presence. By making environmental awareness fun, measurable, and rewarding, Trailerfade seeks to transform simple outdoor activities into opportunities for learning and positive behavioral change. TRACK YOUR JOURNEY Record your routes, monitor your progress, discover nearby hiking activity, and visualize your adventures on detailed maps. See how your acoustic footprint evolves over time and challenge yourself to reach higher levels of invisibility. JOIN THE PACK Thousands of hikers are already exploring a new way of experiencing nature. Walk quieter. Leave less trace. Become acoustically invisible. Become a Wolf Hiker.
