At GetOn, we’ve noticed that the internet is making people increasingly lonely. We want to change that! Our app helps people connect online so they can meet in person and build new friendships. Similar apps already exist—but we believe the experience can be simpler, better, and more intuitive. GetOn cuts out unnecessary features and offers exactly what you need: user profiles, a feed of MeetUps near you, and a chat where you can connect and make plans. *** How GetOn Works *** Create a MeetUp with an activity, location, and time, or discover MeetUps near you. Depending on the organizer’s settings, you can join immediately or send a request to join. Participants can use the group chat to work out the details before meeting in person. Profiles help participants know who they’ll be meeting. Only share information you’re comfortable showing to other users, and respect everyone’s privacy and boundaries. *** Who GetOn Is For *** GetOn is for people who want to meet others nearby for shared activities, hobbies, and genuine social connection. Everyone is welcome—regardless of background, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other personal characteristics. GetOn is not a dating app. Treat others with respect, accept “no” immediately, and help create an environment where everyone feels safe.
