Tow Logic: Towing Calculator

Tow Logic is a free field app built by a tow truck operator for tow and recovery drivers. Log your calls, take stamped damage photos, get signatures, decode VINs, track mileage and expenses, and run the towing math in one app. Works offline, except the optional VIN lookup. Completely free. No ads, no account, nothing to buy. ON THE JOB Home opens on your job tools, with a big New call button and your active call right on top. • Job log: customer, phone, vehicle, plate and province, VIN, odometer, PO or claim number and notes. Call types for tow, boost, lockout, tire change, fuel delivery, winch-out, accident and impound. • One-tap status buttons: Dispatched, En route, On scene, Hooked, Cleared. Each tap saves the time, with undo. • Pickup and drop-off with "Use my location" and a Navigate button. • Search past calls by name, plate, VIN or address. Filter by status, call type or today, with daily call counts. Export to CSV. • Create an invoice straight from a job, or put the vehicle in your storage yard. DAMAGE PHOTOS AND SIGNATURES • Take photos or pick them from your gallery. Each photo is stamped with the date, time and GPS (when your phone has a fix). • Tap a damage diagram to mark pre-existing damage, and add notes. • Customer signature pad. • Share a PDF job report with times, vehicle, photos, damage and signature. MORE DRIVER TOOLS • VIN decoder: a free NHTSA lookup shows make, model, trim, engine, GVWR class, air or hydraulic brakes, axles and trailer details, flags EVs and hybrids, and checks US recalls. Offline it still shows make, country and likely year. • Mileage and expense log: fuel, tolls, parts, meals, trips with km, and receipt photos. Monthly totals and CSV export to keep records for tax time. • Shift timer: start, breaks and end, with today and this week totals. For your own records, not a logbook. • Storage yard tracker: days counted automatically, a default daily rate, a running total and release notes. • Share my location by text in one tap. • Field checklists: scene safety, Move Over reminder, AWD and 4WD cautions, EV and hybrid cautions, winch safety and hand signals. Back up to a zip file you pick before you switch phones. • The only online feature is the optional VIN lookup: when you tap it, only the VIN goes to NHTSA (US government). The recall check sends only make, model and year. • Location and camera are only used when you tap a button, and the app works fine if you say no.
