About the Required Permissions To function as a reliable floating widget, the app requires a few Android permissions. Here’s what they do: 1. Display Over Other Apps This permission allows the widget to appear on top of any app you’re using. Without it, Android does not allow floating elements to stay visible. 2. Foreground Service & Notifications The app needs notification permission because Android requires a visible notification when running a foreground service. A foreground service is necessary to keep the floating widget alive; without it, Android may close the widget automatically to save power or memory.
