WA: Stay in Touch, Quietly

WA is a calm way to stay in touch with old friends and family — no replies, no notifications, no feed. A quiet alternative for people tired of social media. WA is a quiet, slow-connection app for sharing presence — not messages — with up to five close friends. ────────────────── Have you ever lost touch with an old friend, simply because writing "hey, it's been a while" felt too heavy? Social media lets you scroll past their life with a like, but a comment feels like a commitment. A chat thread sits open, asking to be answered. That quiet pressure of staying in touch — WA was made to dissolve it. ────────────────── ■ Moments WA is made for · Opening the app in the morning and seeing a far-away friend's avatar standing on their porch, like always · A soft rain falls on someone's veranda — you sense their day, without a word · Your own avatar sways gently. Someone looked in. That's enough · Before bed, you open WA. No one says anything. It's perfect WA is not for posting. It's for quietly confirming each other's presence. ────────────────── ■ Features ▷ No replies, no notifications WA never sends a push notification. There is nothing to "answer." ▷ No chat, no DMs By design. The pressure to respond cannot exist here. ▷ A small veranda for up to 5 Build private "engawa" (Japanese-style verandas) and gather only the few people who matter. You can create multiple verandas — one for college friends, one for family, one for old neighbors. ▷ Presence, sent automatically Your step count (Health Connect), local weather, and mood are reflected on your avatar. Friends in your veranda gently feel that you are there. You don't have to do anything. ▷ Your own AI avatar Send one photo of your face — WA generates an anime-style avatar (4 poses). No costumes, no decorations. Just you, softly drawn. ────────────────── ■ Why "Engawa" (Japanese veranda)? The engawa is the threshold of a Japanese home — half inside, half outside. You don't have to talk. You don't have to share tea. Just sitting side by side, breathing the same air, is enough to say "I'm here." WA is built around that feeling. Not broadcasting to thousands. Just spending slow time with the few people who really matter. ────────────────── ■ For people who… · Are tired of social media noise (30s and 40s especially) · Have old friends they love but find it awkward to message out of the blue · Are exhausted by unread messages and reply pressure · Want to softly know that family or close friends, far away, are doing okay · Open apps for calm, not stimulation ────────────────── ■ What's inside · Diorama screen: Avatars stand on a shared veranda, reflecting steps and weather · Six moods: calm, happy, excited, relaxed, tired, lonely · Tiny notes (max 20 chars): one small thought, no thread to answer · Postcards: a photo with a word, pinned gently to the veranda · Life events: birthdays and milestones, gently shared · "Someone looked" cue: your avatar sways when a friend visits · Tap to notice: tap a friend's avatar to say "I see you" — no reply expected · Years together: see how long you've known each person ────────────────── ■ Privacy · No ads. No tracking-based advertising. · No precise GPS. Only city-level weather lookup. · No contact list, no call history, no SMS access. · Photos are used only for AI avatar generation and deleted from servers immediately after. · Full account deletion is available inside the app. See the full Privacy Policy: https://wa-friends.com/en/privacy ────────────────── ■ Audience WA is intended for users aged 13 and older. ────────────────── WA lets you feel someone is there — quietly, slowly, every day. No reply needed. No words needed. Just presence. That is enough.
