Tokiyan

Tokiyan lets you chat one to one with someone new, when you want company or a conversation. How it works: 1. Say what kind of conversation you want right now: some company, a meaningful conversation, or something on your mind. 2. Tokiyan looks for one person online now whose conversation fits yours and who shares a language with you. 3. If you both accept, a private room opens for the two of you. If nobody suitable is online, the app says so plainly: no invented profiles, no fake activity. Adults only. You can get a verified tick by checking your age with a quick selfie through an independent provider, and you can choose to meet only people whose age is checked. The selfie is not a profile picture: nobody on Tokiyan sees it, and the age-check company is told to erase it after the check. What makes it different: - No feed, no public profiles, no follower counts, no likes. - No contact book, no global search, and no exact location. Nobody can look you up. - No cold messages. A conversation only starts when both people accept. - Your boundaries apply in every room, and you can tighten them mid conversation without the other person being told. - Question cards help a conversation along. Answers are only shown when both people say yes, and nobody learns who declined. - Keep a connection only if you both want to. - Volunteers are always labelled as volunteers, and are never shown as ordinary members. Staying in control: - Report or block anyone from inside the room. Reports go to a person at Tokiyan, and a block takes effect straight away. - Ask Tokiyan to check in about someone, without it becoming a report and without them being told who asked. - Community rules apply to everyone: adults only, respect for stated boundaries, no requests for money, nothing unsolicited. Tokiyan is for people aged 18 and over. Available in English and French.
