Ricky Casino

App like Ricky Casino is a markdown notebook that never leaves your phone. Write in plain text. Tap the eye and watch it become a proper page: headings with rules, bullet and numbered lists, tick-able checklists, block quotes, fenced code, tables and links — all rendered by the app itself, instantly, with no round trip to anywhere. WRITE THE WAY YOU THINK • A monospace editor that keeps your markdown lined up, with an adjustable text size. • A toolbar that wraps whatever you have selected — bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, links, headings, lists, checklists, quotes, tables and dividers. • Three view modes: writing only, split (text above, live preview below) or reading only. • Autosave keeps up with you, or switch it off and save on your own terms. • A live word count and reading-time estimate at the bottom of every note. KEEP IT TIDY • Sort notes into notebooks you name, colour and give an icon. • Tag across notebooks, then filter by any tag in one tap. • Pin what matters to the top; archive what is finished without deleting it. • Swipe a row right to pin, left to archive. • Search every title and every line of body text as you type. • Sort by recently edited, recently created, title or length. START FROM SOMETHING • 14 built-in templates: daily log, meeting notes, standup, project brief, decision log, retrospective, weekly review, reading notes, bug report, code snippet, recipe, trip checklist, brain dump and a comparison table. • A 34-entry markdown reference with a live example under every entry, so you can see exactly what each piece of syntax renders as. • Five starter notes already in place, so the first screen is never empty. SEE YOUR PROGRESS • A writing streak ring and a year-long heat map of the days you wrote. • A bar chart of words written over the past week. • Running totals: notes kept, words written, checklist items ticked, code blocks written, tags in use. • Twelve merits to earn, every one measured from your own notes rather than an invented score. GENUINELY OFFLINE Ricky Casino has no account, no sync and no network code at all. The release build requests no Android permissions — not even internet access. Your notes live in a private database inside the app's own storage, and nothing is uploaded, analysed or shared unless you tap Share and pick where it goes yourself. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. If you want a notebook that behaves like paper — always there, answerable to nobody, and legible when you come back to it — this is that notebook.
