ASTEROID

ASTEROID is a cinematic Virtual Reality thriller that begins as a film and continues as an immersive story game. From director Doug Liman, this bold experiment in storytelling lets you step inside the story—experience the world of ASTEROID, where your choices decide the fate of its characters. The Story A desperate, mismatched crew launches a stolen rocket toward a near-Earth asteroid to mine for gold, diamonds, and gemstones. Among them: Anna (Hailee Steinfeld), a brilliant punk engineer with something to prove. Hoss Stovel (Ron Perlman), a ruthless leader driven by greed. Barron (Rhenzy Feliz), an ambitious Harvard grad. Ivan (Leon Mandel), a disgraced Russian cosmonaut. DK Metcalf (playing himself), an NFL superstar who immediately regrets his risky decision. When the mission collapses into chaos and betrayal, only Anna returns. But what really happened on that glittering rock? The Experience Continues — You Step Into the Story After the film ends, you cross into its world and enter the story-based VR adventure. You become a NASA analyst transported through advanced simulation technology to the surface of the asteroid itself—a luminous, dust-shrouded landscape filled with shimmering crystals, fractured habitats, and haunting wreckage. The art direction and world design are stunning: golden mineral veins pulse under your feet, holographic echoes drift through zero-gravity, and sunlight flares off the asteroid’s horizon. Every environment invites exploration. You are no longer an audience member—you are a participant in the story’s next chapter. Your AI Companion: DK Metcalf: Waiting for you is DK Metcalf, re-imagined as a conversational AI character. He’s funny, authentic, open — and he needs your help. He cracks jokes about the absurdity of mining for gold in space, reflects on teamwork, isolation and tells you his side of the story. Your conversations with DK shape the narrative: trust him or question him, encourage him or leave him behind. Your choices define who survives.
