Maronia

Maronia is a fictional economy you can live in. Precious metals, company shares, digital assets, estates and collectible works change hands every day. Prices move every minute, driven by a market engine and by the other players. Behind every move there is a cause, and the city's paper of record, The Maronia Ledger, prints the ones it can reach. Some news arrives before the market stirs, some after. Read well and you will be early. WHAT YOU DO • Trade on the exchange: gold, silver, platinum, copper and more, plus the shares of the city's companies. Buy well, sell dearer. • Read the Ledger: a daily newspaper written for this economy. Stories open, develop and close over the day; your own names get their own edition. • Judge the rumours: call a rumour credible or doubtful, then see whether it held. Your record is kept. • Own estates: property pays rent every month. • Collect: rare pieces find new owners at auction or through the catalogue. Fill your cabinet, show your best piece on your profile. • Bid live: auctions with real countdowns against real players. • Start from nothing: the Exchange Desk pays a small daily fee for a view on the market. • Climb the registry: rankings across wealth, collecting and the market, archived every season. Honours are earned once and never lost. HOW IT PLAYS You are given a starting balance in Maron, the city's currency. From there everything is earned: rent, a right call, a good sale, a lucky lot. The other investors in the rankings are real players like you. Available in 11 languages. A NOTE OUTSIDE THE FICTION Maronia is a game. The companies, institutions and people in its news are invented, with no reference to the real world. The Maron exists only inside the game; it has no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for real money. Nothing in the app is financial advice. An optional subscription, Maronia Club, marks unbroken membership with a coin; it buys no advantage.
