The Long View: Quit Smoking

The Long View shows the time you win back by quitting smoking, worked out from your own habit, on Android and Wear OS. Enter how much you smoke and for how long. The app shows the years that habit has likely cost you, and how many come back as you cut down and stay smoke free. A one-tap check-in each day keeps the number current. IN THE FREE APP - The years you are winning back, from your own age, sex, country and smoking history - A daily check-in in one tap, with a countdown to the next one - Your full history, every day of it - A photo of your reason, right behind the number - Your smoke-free day count and your next health milestone PREMIUM - Money saved, from your own price per pack - A quit plan that steps you down to zero - The full recovery timeline, with the date you reached each milestone - Widgets, the Wear OS app, and export - Sync across all your devices and platforms. Sign in once with your email, or with Apple, Google or Microsoft, and Premium follows you. ON YOUR WATCH The Wear OS app shows the time you have won back and lets you check in from your wrist. The Wear OS tile puts that number one swipe from your watch face, with today's count and a countdown to your check-in. The yearly plan starts with 7 days free for new subscribers. Lifetime is one payment. BUILT TO BE FINISHED Reach 365 smoke-free days and every Premium feature is included at no charge. WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM About 17 minutes of life per cigarette for men and 22 for women (Jackson et al., Addiction, 2025), a life table for your own age, sex and country (the US Social Security Administration for the United States, the World Health Organization for every other country), and the recovery bands from Jha et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2013. The full method is on thelongviewapp.com. YOUR PRIVACY The free app needs no account, and what you log stays on your device. With Premium, your check-ins sync encrypted with a key made on your device, so what we store is unreadable to us. No ads. The estimate is a motivational figure built from population averages.
