What helps then is a starting point you did not choose. ■ Cast by hand The Six Lines (Liu Yao) method, eighteen changes to form a hexagram. Every change is yours to make - not one button that lets the program do it for you. ■ One question, one casting. No recasting. This is the most important rule in the app, and the thing that separates it from drawing again. Once the hexagram is formed, that is the hexagram. You cannot keep recasting until you like the answer, because an answer reached that way is only the one you already wanted - and if you already wanted it, you did not need to ask. ■ Sharpen the question first The same situation, asked differently, looks at a different place. So before any casting, the app works with you to settle what you are actually asking. One question at a time. Two questions mixed together make an unclear hexagram. ■ A reading written for your hexagram Not canned paragraphs assembled from a lookup table. The chart, the governing line, the moving lines, the resulting hexagram - all of it is read together, and the reading is written for the question you asked. Still unclear? Ask follow-up questions, up to ten on the same hexagram. ■ Tap any term you do not know Governing line, void, clash - terms in the reading can be tapped for a plain explanation, with no need to look them up elsewhere. ■ Your readings stay on your phone Every casting is stored locally and readable offline. If you want to go back later and check what that hexagram actually said, it is there.
