Take a new weapon, feed the one you already carry, or slot a core and take the hits better. What you pick stacks, and no two runs end up firing the same way. - 20 weapons: melee, direct, spread, homing, orbit, bolt, boomerang, mine, mortar, barrier - 11 cores: more damage, or enough armor to stay standing - 26 treasure items: what comes out of the crate is decided when you open it * The boss is a comrade who fell first What waits at the end of a chapter is not a stranger. It is a squad member who got infected first. You are not killing it, you are purifying it, and once purified it joins your squad. * Losing still moves you forward Death costs you nothing.
