Full description
One ritual. Ten minutes. The crew that chooses each other every day. Brotherhood is a small, private app for your real crew of 2 to 8 people. Once a day, at a random time nobody can predict, a ten-minute window opens for everyone at once. You text, send voice notes, drop photos and videos, or start a one-tap group call — then it closes, and life carries on. No feeds. No followers. No strangers. Just your people, daily. BREAKTIME — THE DAILY RITUAL Once every day, at a time nobody can plan for, every member of your crew gets the same notification at the same moment: "Breaktime." For the next ten minutes you're together — however you are, wherever you are, no filter, no scheduling. You drop in as you actually are: at the gym, at your desk, on the school run, on a Sunday hangover. When the ten minutes are up, the window closes. There's no feed to scroll back into and no red dots begging you back. Tomorrow's window opens at a different random time. WHY TEN MINUTES It's grounded in the "eight-minute rule": a call as short as eight minutes is enough to make someone feel measurably less alone, and friendships are kept alive by small, regular contact — not grand gestures. Brotherhood gives the crew ten minutes: eight for the rule, two for the nonsense. People don't drift apart because they stopped caring. They drift apart because nothing ever demanded ten minutes. This does. CATCHES THE MATE WHO'S SLIPPING Miss enough Breaktimes in a row and the crew gets a quiet, private nudge — "Marcus has been quiet. Reach out?" — before the bond fades. EMERGENCY MEETINGS Got news that can't wait until tomorrow? Sound an emergency meeting — an extra ten-minute window that lights up every crew member's phone at once. Capped at one per person per week, so it never becomes noise. A PRIVATE RECORD OF THE FRIENDSHIP Voice notes and photos build a private history of your crew, with memory pops and anniversaries. It's yours — not a public timeline. WHAT THIS IS NOT • No public feeds and no infinite scroll — when the window closes, there's nothing to scroll back into. • No followers, no strangers, ever — invite-code only. No search, no suggestions. • No creators, no influencers, no algorithm, no For You page. • Not a social network and not a content platform. • Not a productivity or tracking app — it isn't trying to make you optimal. • Not BeReal (the moment is shared together, not posted alone) and not the group chat (here the chat has a heartbeat, and the day has a window). • It doesn't try to maximise your time in the app. Ten minutes a day is the whole point — the app is meant to disappear once the window's up. WHO IT'S FOR Anyone who once had a tight crew — school mates, uni friends, a team, the best season of life — and refuses to lose them to the drift of jobs, cities, partners and kids. A crew can be the old lads, your partner (a crew of two), the girls, or family scattered across cities and time zones. Any crew you refuse to lose. Friendship is a verb. Presence beats performance. Give the group chat a heartbeat. No strangers, ever. The wrong people in the room ruin the room. Got eight minutes?

What's new

Breaktime got sharper. See who's in the window as it happens, and get a heads-up before it closes. Photos and video: a scrubbable playhead, tap to focus a video, captions off the picture, and no more crash while scrubbing. We say "group" instead of "crew" now, moved to your phone's own typeface, and rebuilt the launch screen. Plus a nudge when your group goes quiet, and fixes to the mic and the daily window.
