Tacho validates every reading before it is used, so the number on screen stays steady instead of jumping around: • Poor-accuracy fixes are rejected, and degraded ones are marked as such • Impossible jumps between two fixes are discarded • Stationary GPS drift is filtered out, so a parked vehicle does not "travel" • Speed is smoothed, with a faster response when you accelerate or brake Because the measurement comes from GPS and not from your vehicle, Tacho works in any vehicle you happen to be in — and in vehicles with no working speedometer at all.
