Full description
Your trip itinerary is already in a spreadsheet. Fine on a laptop, miserable on a phone, and not worth giving up for an app that wants an account and a signal before it shows you anything. TabiPlanner shows you the whole travel itinerary at once. THE WHOLE ITINERARY AT A GLANCE On a phone, a month grid with every day of the trip and a summary in each cell. Tap a day for the detail, or turn the phone sideways for the full calendar. On a tablet or a laptop, the dense grid a spreadsheet user actually wants, with every row visible and every cell editable in place. YOUR SPREADSHEET COMES WITH YOU Your trip is already in a spreadsheet, so bring it. TabiPlanner reads CSV, Excel and JSON, and it handles the awkward shapes: days running across the columns, labelled rows down the side, times buried in the text. It shows you the layout it detected, the header row it picked and what each column will become, and lets you correct any of it before a single row is added. PASTE A BOOKING CONFIRMATION Paste the text of a hotel, flight, train, hire car or restaurant confirmation and it becomes rows, with the dates, times, costs and reference numbers picked out. Where it cannot be sure, it asks instead of guessing. QUICK ADD Type "16:45 Kanda Shrine @Chiyoda 1200" and get a row with the time, the activity, the place and the cost already filled in. EVERY PLACE OPENS IN MAPS Tap any location to open it in Google Maps, using the offline areas already on your phone. No coordinates to enter and nothing to set up. The Places sheet lists every location in the trip, grouped by leg, so you can see the shape of where you are going. A LIST OF WHAT TO BUY Souvenirs and things to bring home, grouped by shop rather than kept in one long list, because you read it standing in the shop. Each shop name opens in Maps as well. COSTS WITHOUT CONVERSION Track what things cost in the currency you paid in, with subtotals per currency. No exchange rates, no network call, no invented numbers. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL The planner works offline, because rural Japan does not care about your data plan. There is no account and no server, and your trip is never uploaded anywhere. BUILT NOT TO LOSE YOUR TRIP Every change is written twice, to two independent copies on the phone. Dated snapshots let you go back after a bad edit or a wrong import, and undo covers the rest. NO LOCK IN Export to CSV, JSON or a formatted Excel workbook whenever you like. The Excel export re-imports cleanly, so it is a round trip and not a dead end, and the backup file is plain JSON you can open in a text editor. TWO PHONES, NO ACCOUNTS Planning it with someone else? Send them a file, however you like. Changes merge field by field, so you both keep your edits. Anything arriving twice is listed before you accept it, and conflicts are shown rather than resolved behind your back. MADE TO BE LOOKED AT Ten themes, each with a dark palette that was measured, not guessed. Colours by category, a countdown to departure, adjustable text size, and a say in what the main screen shows you. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO No recommendations. No suggested itineraries. No packing lists. No account, no sign in, no server. It is a planner for a trip you are planning yourself. FREE, AND WHAT THE ONE PAYMENT ADDS Free: one trip with everything in it, import, all three export formats, both copies on the phone and the dated restore points, the buy list, costs, the shortlist, booking paste, Maps on every place, and receiving a trip somebody sends you. You can always get every byte of your trip back out, and you never have to pay to keep it safe. The free version shows a small banner advertisement. One payment, once, never a subscription, removes it and adds: every trip rather than one, sending a trip to another phone, the printable itinerary, adding the trip to your calendar, opening a whole day in Maps as one route, copying a trip to start the next one from it, and all ten themes.

What's new

Fixes a bug in 2.6. Correcting where you were staying on one night rewrote every other night of the trip, so the whole month went one colour. It now changes only the night you edited. If your trip is already showing a single colour, open the trip title, then "Where you are staying", and tap "Go back to guessing". That hands the colours back to your check-in rows, and you can correct them one night at a time from there.
