TAAC Teachers

TAAC Teachers is the staff app for TAAC schools. It brings classroom monitoring, teacher performance reviews and parent communication into one place, so coordinators and principals can see what is actually happening in classrooms — and act on it. This app is for school staff only. You sign in with the mobile number registered with your school and a one-time password. CLASSROOM MONITORING Coordinators spot-check teaching quality across four areas, with photo and video evidence captured on the spot: • Classwork correction — review five students' notebooks against handwriting, completeness and correction quality • Homework correction — the same criteria on homework, plus homework completion tracking for class teachers • UT paper checking — review answer sheets for presentation, correction quality and descriptive answers • Oral practice — record a session video, pick the subject, and rate the class Students are sampled rather than hand-picked. The system chooses students at random and the coordinator adds their own, so a check reflects the whole class instead of the best books. ORAL PRACTICE, ROTATED FAIRLY Recording every section every day is not realistic. Instead the app assigns two sections per class each day and never repeats a section within the same week, so over a week every section gets its turn. The day's sections are fixed once assigned. PROGRESS AND ACCOUNTABILITY Every teacher review runs on a fixed cycle — the 1st to the 15th, and the 16th to month end. • My Progress shows how much of your monitoring is done for the current cycle, broken down by classwork, homework, UT and oral • Classes whose notebooks were not audited are listed automatically, with the exact sections and subjects that were missed • Coordinators record an observation against each one, so gaps are explained rather than hidden • Non-working days are set per cycle, so holidays are never counted against anyone REVIEWS THAT ROLL UP Reviews follow the school's reporting line. Coordinators review their teachers and submit to the principal; the principal reviews their own teachers and each coordinator, then submits the consolidated cycle to head office. A cycle cannot move up until everyone below has submitted, and nothing can be edited once submitted. Head office can open any campus, drill into a principal, then into a coordinator, and see the teacher-level detail and the explanations behind every gap. DAY TO DAY • Attendance — submit and review section attendance • Homework — set and track homework • Exams and unit tests — enter marks and review results • Reach — send SMS, voice messages and notifications to parents WHY IT WORKS THIS WAY The point is visibility, not policing. The app records what was not done and asks for an explanation in writing. That alone tends to close the gap, without anyone having to chase it. Note: your school must have an active TAAC subscription, and your mobile number must be registered by your school administrator before you can sign in.
