Kudenia: Vocabulary

Eight words a day. The ones you learn, you keep. Most vocabulary apps show you a hundred words and hope some stick. Kudenia shows you eight, then brings each one back exactly when you are about to forget it — the interval that turns a word you recognised once into a word you own. How a session works A new word arrives as a multiple-choice question, in a real sentence with the word missing. Get it right and it enters the ladder. From then on it comes back as a typing question, spaced further apart each time you recall it unaided — three hours, then a day, then longer. A word only counts as learned once you have recalled it six times running with no help, the last two of those weeks apart. Sessions are eight words and take about three minutes. Three a day, which is enough. Built to be honest with you When you type an answer, the blank shows how long the word is. On multiple choice it stays a fixed width on purpose, so nobody can rule out the options by counting letters. Hints reveal one letter at a time and you choose whether to spend them. Getting a word wrong is not punished — it simply comes back sooner. There is no losing state and no streak-shaming. It adjusts to you Pick your level when you start — A1 to C2, the CEFR bands.
