Full description
Telling Time for Kids: Learn helps children practice reading an analog clock, setting its hands and matching clock faces to digital times. Move from whole hours to minutes, then work on elapsed-time questions. The interface and written instructions are in English, so an adult may need to help a child read the prompts. MOVE THE HANDS AND SEE THE TIME Drag the minute hand around the clock and watch the hour hand follow. At half past three, the hour hand sits between three and four, just as it does on a real clock. Setting a requested time gives children a way to explore the connection between hand positions and the time shown. Read-clock tasks work in the other direction: look at the analog face and choose the matching digital time. Switching between setting and reading encourages learners to work with the same idea from both sides, rather than remembering one picture or tapping a repeated answer. BUILD UP THE CLOCK SKILLS The practice sequence begins with o'clock and half past. Continue with quarter past and quarter to, five-minute intervals, and reading to the exact minute. Each skill uses an appropriate hand-position step so a child can work on the current idea before dealing with finer minute divisions. Digital and analog matching adds another way to connect the clock face with written times. A child can practice recognizing a digital time on an analog clock, then identifying the digital time represented by a face. The app stays focused on telling time, rather than combining clock reading with unrelated arithmetic or word games. UNDERSTAND ELAPSED TIME Once a learner is comfortable with hours and minutes, practice questions about when an activity finishes. Begin with a start time and a duration, then find the ending time. These exercises connect the clock-reading skills with a simple everyday use of time. Elapsed-time practice uses five-minute steps and durations up to three hours. Questions stay within the same day and do not cross midnight. This is a bounded learning exercise; the app is not a stopwatch, running timer, appointment planner or time tracker. It does not teach every calendar or time-zone calculation. SHORT ROUNDS, FRESH CLOCK POSITIONS Clock questions are generated from the selected skill. Repeat a practice round to work with another set of times, or use a mixed quiz to bring skills together. The app does not rely on a fixed numbered question bank, so a large advertised question count is not the reason to choose it. Answer choices include common clock-reading mistakes, giving the learner another chance to distinguish the hour and minute hands and check the interval shown. Gentle sound cues provide feedback during interaction; the app does not narrate the instructions or listen to spoken answers. FOLLOW PROGRESS BY SKILL Keep local practice and progress for individual children. Review how a learner is doing with whole hours, quarters, minutes and the other clock skills, then return to an area that needs more work. Progress is organized around the skill being learned rather than treating every possible clock position as a separate subject. For a simple practice routine, choose the skill a child is currently learning, read the English prompt together if needed, and let the child move or read the hands. Follow a short round with another attempt when the child wants more practice. A mixed quiz can help you see which familiar skills still need attention. Practice records stay locally on the device, with no classroom account or cloud service required. The app is ad-free and its clock exercises work offline. It provides practice alongside teaching, without certifying a school curriculum. A translated store description does not change the English interface or written prompts. Choose it for visual clock practice with the amount of adult reading help that suits the learner.

What's new

Drag the hands on a real clock face — your child sets the time, reads the time, and works up from o'clock to the exact minute. Elapsed time and digital-to-analog matching too. Kindergarten through third grade. No ads, no account, works offline.
