"Do you speak Schwyzerdütsch?" Few foreigners will say yes to that question. However, the Swiss linguistic diversity impresses many travellers from abroad. After all, Switzerland is home to four official languages in a small area: French, Italian, Romansh and Swiss German. A curiosity for many visitors to Switzerland. Even if they speak High German, they will hardly understand a word at first when Swiss people communicate among themselves. That can be changed: The "Grüezi Switzerland" app offers the first mobile Schwyzerdütsch language guide in the form of sound files structured according to the situation, so that communication works right from the start. But the app has even more to offer: As a bonus, sightseeing and leisure offers, a list of videos, social media links and webcams for each destination, providing a virtual insight in real time. All in all, an all-round package for holidaymakers, new Swiss and those who want to become one.
