PERMISSIONS & DATA ACCESS KharchaBuddy may request the following permissions. All sensitive ones are optional and used only for the stated purposes; you can deny them and still use the app with manual entry and other features. * Internet – Required to sync data, sign in with Google, and load reports. * Contacts (read) – Optional. Used only to suggest contacts when adding participants to split expenses; not used for marketing or sharing with third parties. * Camera – Optional. Used only when you tap “Scan” to capture receipts/bills; we do not access the camera in the background. * Photos / storage (read) – Optional. Used only when you choose an image for receipts or profile; we do not scan your full gallery. * Biometric / fingerprint – Optional. Used only for app lock (unlock with PIN or biometrics); biometric data stays on device and is not sent to our servers. You can skip any optional permission during setup and enable it later from Profile or system settings. We do not sell your personal data.
