StripeVeil is a thunderstorm-focused weather app for anyone who watches the sky before letting the dog out, packing the picnic, or putting a nervous kid to bed. Instead of a wall of numbers, StripeVeil gives you one living sky — calm, approaching, or active — so you always know at a glance whether today is a storm-watching day or a normal one. Open the app and you're on the Now screen: a glowing sky orb that shifts colour and mood with the live thunderstorm probability where you are, a one-line status ("All calm," "Storm in 2h 15m," "Storm overhead — clears 21:40"), and a running count of the storms you've lived through together this year. Pull down from the top for the full two-week forecast — day by day, hour by hour, with temperature, precipitation, wind, cloud cover and storm probability for every hour — plus a "Plan your day" card that reads the data for you: the best window for the dog walk, the hours to avoid, and when to bring an umbrella. Pull up from the bottom when the thunder gets close for a small toolkit built to help you and the people (and pets) around you sit through it: a paced four-seven-eight breathing exercise, a looping pet soundscape for nervous animals, short soothing audio stories for kids who can't sleep through the rumbling, and a Ride It Out timer that counts down to when the sky actually clears, with a calming soundscape running underneath.
