One tap turns it on, and Boost is tuned so that it is never quieter than Off. ONE TAP, BIGGER SOUND Turn Boost on, press play in your music app, and FM Boost connects to it automatically. The status at the top tells you when your player is connected. SHAPE YOUR SOUND • Bass and treble, −6 to +6 dB, as smooth shelves rather than harsh steps • Compression from off to 100%, with automatic make-up gain so quiet parts come up • Output level, −6 to +6 dB • A safety limiter that holds back peaks whenever anything adds level • Compare: hear the original in one tap to judge the tone, not just the volume LIVE LEVEL METER The sound bars in the app move with your music's real output level while Boost is on. LIGHT AND HONEST • No account, no ads, no tracking, no internet access • No microphone: FM Boost processes the player's audio; it never records anything • Light and dark themes, screen-reader labels WHICH PLAYERS WORK? FM Boost uses Android's audio effects system, so it works with music players that open an audio-effect session, which most music apps do. Some apps never announce their session, and FM Boost cannot reach those. If the status stays at WAITING, restart playback; some players do not support audio effects at all. GOOD TO KNOW • Close other equalizer apps; two equalizers on the same player can conflict. • Very loud sources can still distort at high settings; lower Output level if you hear it. • FM Boost keeps a small notification while it is connected, so Android does not stop it in the background.
