A Dry Day is a government-notified date when the retail sale of alcohol is restricted. Rules are set state by state under excise law, so a Dry Day in Maharashtra may be an ordinary day in Karnataka or Telangana. Dates also move each year with the lunar calendar, and extra Dry Days are added around elections — often with only a few days' notice. Stock Up! keeps track of all of it so you don't have to. ACCURACY YOU CAN PLAN AROUND Dry Day information is compiled from official excise and district notifications, not recycled from last year's blog posts. Restrictions can still change at short notice, so please check local orders for the final word on any date. RESPONSIBLE USE Stock Up! does not sell, deliver or promote the consumption of alcohol. We provide information about publicly notified Dry Days and publicly listed retail locations only. Please respect your state's legal drinking age and never drink and drive.
