Full description
Fast Dial is an Android app that takes the repetition out of USSD services. You build a step-by-step workflow once, save it, and run it whenever you need it, instead of tapping through the same menus every time. USSD powers many everyday mobile services, including mobile money, airtime, data bundles, account checks, and subscriptions. Using them usually means dialing a code and then answering a series of menus and prompts by hand. Fast Dial lets you set those answers up in advance and stay in control while it runs them. What Fast Dial Does When you launch a saved flow, Fast Dial works through the USSD session using the steps you configured. Depending on the service and your device, it can: Start the USSD session Detect the USSD dialog Android displays Find the input fields and controls in that dialog Enter the information you configured and select your chosen menu options Move through multiple menu screens Recognize when a step has succeeded or failed Show you the final result Results vary with your mobile network, the USSD service, your Android version, and your device manufacturer. Because providers control their own menus, a menu change may mean you need to update your flow. Why Fast Dial Uses the AccessibilityService API Android has no public API that lets an app respond to the system USSD dialog and move through several menu steps. Fast Dial therefore uses the AccessibilityService API, and only for USSD automation. It uses the service to: Detect the relevant USSD dialog and inspect its controls Enter your configured information into the right input field Press the buttons needed to continue Select the menu options you chose Read text from the current dialog when the next step depends on it Determine when the session has reached a result or finished What it never does. Fast Dial does not use AccessibilityService to: Change device settings without your permission Stop you from disabling or uninstalling any app, including itself Bypass Android privacy or security controls Control your device remotely Record call audio Hide its use of the service from you Your Consent and Control Accessibility access is optional. Automation works only after you enable the Fast Dial Accessibility Service in Android's Accessibility settings. Fast Dial explains why the permission is needed before you decide. Without the service enabled, Fast Dial cannot automate system USSD dialogs. You can turn the service off at any time in Android settings, which stops the features that depend on it. You can also uninstall the app whenever you like, and Fast Dial does nothing to prevent either. How Fast Dial Works Everything is built on flows: saved sequences of actions for a particular USSD service. A simple flow might be: Start a USSD short code Select a menu option Enter a phone number Enter an amount Choose a confirmation option Wait for the final response The steps differ from service to service. Once you've saved a flow, you can launch it whenever you need it. You remain responsible for checking the information shown by your network or provider before completing any sensitive or financial transaction.
