Full description
Write the invoice before you've packed the gear down. GigFee is for working Australian musicians: bands, function acts, session players, teachers, anyone who gets paid to play. THE SUPER MANAGER Most invoicing apps have never heard of it. This one is built on it. Payday super means a contribution has to reach a fund within seven business days of the fee being paid, and twenty for the first one you make for a person. GigFee counts those days the way the ATO does: weekends and national public holidays both push the date out, so a gig played at Christmas does not quietly fall due on Boxing Day. It keeps the ledger, not just a reminder. Who is owed what, what you have sent, what is late, and which payment covered it. Where a hirer may owe you super, the invoice shows how much and where it goes. Every invoice is stamped with the rate for its own financial year, so reopening an old one never rewrites what a client was sent. Super can sit on top of a fee or come out of one, and a door deal or a private household can be marked as owing none at all. Putting super on an invoice, and setting your rate and fund, are free on every plan. WHAT YOU SPEND A deduction you cannot prove is a deduction you do not get. Photograph the receipt on the spot, which is the only moment you still have it. PDFs too. Gear, strings, rehearsal rooms, repairs, fuel, travel, phone, software, promotion, lessons, insurance, stage clothing, wear and tear. Added up by category at tax time and carried into your export. The receipt is copied into the app, so it still opens in five years, and it goes into your backup with everything else. THE REST Your diary does the typing. One tap turns a gig into an invoice with the venue, the date and the fee already in it. GST worked out for you. Say once whether you are registered and whether you quote with it in or out. Splitting with the band stops being a group chat. Evenly, by percentage or by set amounts. The client is billed once for the full fee and none of it shows on their copy. GigFee tracks who you have paid, so money that only passed through your account is not counted as your income. Send it from the venue. A proper PDF tax invoice, emailed from your phone. Chase what you are owed. A reminder when an invoice falls due, a list of what is overdue, and the follow-up email written. Photograph a bill somebody sent you and GigFee reads off the amount and the GST. Say how you were paid, and see the year's cash as its own figure. Cash income is income, and every report counts it as such. Mark a gig off the books and GigFee stops asking you to invoice it. No GST, no super, out of the tax figures, still recorded under its own heading. Whether an amount is business income is your call, not the app's. Tax time. What you actually earned once the band's share and your expenses are out, the GST both directions, and the kilometres you drove. Send the lot to your accountant as a spreadsheet. All of it works offline. Band rooms are concrete boxes. WHAT IT COSTS Free, for as long as you want. Unlimited invoices, no card, no account, every design included. What you send carries a watermark and you can save ten clients. GigFee Lite, one payment. No watermark, unlimited clients, and a backup file you keep. Premium, monthly, free for the first 7 days. Cloud backup as you work, reports and spreadsheet export, your logo, contacts, and the super ledger. Cancel inside the week and you are not charged. Restoring a backup is free on every plan, always. YOUR RECORDS Turn backup on and your data sits on servers in Sydney, locked to your Google account. Nothing else leaves your phone. No ads, no tracking, nothing sold to anybody. --- GigFee is not a registered tax agent or BAS agent. It works out figures from what you enter and produces documents; it does not give tax advice. What it shows about tax and super is general information only. For advice about your own situation, speak to a registered tax or BAS agent.

What's new

GigFee has a new look in blue, with a new icon to match. Warnings now show in red, so anything that needs your attention is easier to spot. New installs follow your phone's light or dark setting. If you have already picked one, it stays as it is.
