SplitTrip

SplitTrip is an expense splitter built for group trips where people join and leave on different days — a friend flying in two days late, someone leaving early, a rotating cast of visitors over a week-long trip. Add your trip, add participants with their own arrival and departure dates, and log expenses as they happen. The core difference from a normal bill-splitting app: every expense automatically divides only among the participants who were actually present on that expense's date, never among everyone in the trip regardless of when they showed up. Book the hotel on day one before half the group has arrived, and only the people already there share that cost — not a naive equal split across the whole trip roster. A PresenceStrip widget shows, day by day, exactly who was present, so the composition of the group over time is visible at a glance, not buried in numbers. Once expenses are in, SplitTrip computes each person's balance from actual presence and runs a minimal-transfer settle-up: instead of everyone paying everyone back, it works out the fewest possible payments needed to zero every balance out. A Stats screen tracks total spending, spending by category, and a look back at your most active trip.
