Spear Officers

Spear Officers is a restricted-access app for serving police personnel. It requires an account issued by your department and cannot be used by the general public. Spear Officers is the field companion app for police stations running Spear, the district law-enforcement platform from Bitsmith Technologies. It replaces paper beat registers and verbal reporting with a verifiable record that an assigned officer actually reached a patrol checkpoint. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the app to see your assigned patrol route and today's progress — which checkpoints are done and which remain. 2. At a checkpoint, scan the printed QR marker posted there. 3. The app confirms your phone is physically inside the checkpoint's geofence. 4. Capture a selfie as attendance evidence. Location is checked a second time. 5. Tag the other officers patrolling with you, so the whole party is credited from one check-in. 6. Submit. Your station in-charge sees the verified visit.
