Vague is a dating app where you talk before you look. Every conversation starts blurred. No name, no photos, no bio. Just enough to begin: age, a few things about how someone lives, the languages they speak, what they are into. You find out who someone is by talking to them. When you like someone, your profile opens up to them. When they like you back, you both see everything. Until then, the only thing you have is the conversation, which turns out to be the part that matters. HOW IT WORKS One conversation at a time. You are matched with one person, and that is who you are talking to. No stack of half-finished chats, no swiping through a queue of faces you will never speak to. A 24 hour window. Each new conversation lasts a day. It is enough time to find out whether there is something there, and short enough that you actually say something. Reveal when you mean it. Like someone and they see your full profile. If they like you back, you both do. Impatient? Use a key to unlock a profile early. Icebreakers when you need them. A prompt appears if the conversation stalls, and there is a guessing game you can play before either of you has seen the other. WHY BLURRED Because the first thing you notice about a photo is not the thing that makes you like someone. Take the photo away for a day and people ask better questions. SAFETY Everyone verifies with a live selfie check against their own photos before they can be matched, so you are talking to a real person. Chat is screened automatically for abuse. You can report or block anyone from inside a conversation, and blocking stops messages immediately. Your exact location is never shared, only a rounded distance. You can delete your account and your data from Settings at any time, without emailing anyone. Vague is for adults, 18 and over. Membership is invite-only while we grow city by city.

What's new

Editing your photos is easier. They now have their own screen with a single Save, and you can replace a photo straight from it. If you change your first two photos, a quick face check keeps your profile verified. Also fixed: reporting a match could fail with "Something went wrong", and the bio box could grow past the screen.for en-US here
