Solvaris Cosmati

Solvaris Cosmati is a personal research archive devoted to the measured stone language of medieval Roman craftsmen. Study circles, ribbons, polygons, and proportional systems that shaped Cosmatesque pavements across Italy and beyond — entirely offline, with no account required. WHAT YOU CAN EXPLORE • Pattern Collection — Browse 50 geometric compositions across orbital, ribbon, polygonal, quincunx, and radial families. Search, filter, and mark patterns as studied to build your archive. • Geometry Studio — Work through 40 analytical reconstruction projects. Follow measured operations step by step, from establishing the governing axis to verifying bilateral balance. • Knowledge Library — Unlock 80 field entries on workshops, materials, sacred proportions, and conservation. Articles open as you study related patterns. • Historical Routes — Trace the Cosmati network from Roman workshops to Westminster Abbey. Document eight key sites and add them to your field log. • Study Notebook — Record ratios, materials, and visual discoveries in your personal folio. All notes stay on your device. • Learning Center — Six guided foundations cover vocabulary, quincunx reading, marble hierarchy, guilloche rhythm, and proportion without modern notation. • Evolution Timeline — Follow eight centuries of Cosmati craft, from 12th-century Roman workshops to today’s digital conservation research.
