Grom

Grom is a workout tracker that runs on a server you control. The Android app connects to your Grom instance - no proprietary cloud required. Record outdoor activities with live GPS, import GPX and FIT files, manage equipment, and follow other athletes on a social feed. When your server enables ActivityPub, you can also interact with people on other Grom instances. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Record workouts with live GPS, map, duration, speed, and distance • Auto-pause and a persistent notification while recording • Create and edit activities with stats, notes, photos, and map previews • Import GPX and FIT tracks • View speed and heart-rate charts on workout details • Track bikes, shoes, and other gear linked to your activities • Follow users and browse a shared workout feed • Like and comment on workouts SELF-HOSTED BY DESIGN Grom stores your account and workouts on the server URL you choose. You (or your instance operator) decide where data lives, how long it is kept, and whether federation is enabled. To use the app you need access to a running Grom server. Enter the server address when you sign in or register. HTTP works for local or LAN setups; HTTPS is recommended for anything on the public internet.
