Full description
Snooker 900 is snooker on a clock. Fifteen reds, a 900-second frame clock, a 20-second shot clock, ball-in-hand after every foul, and the cushion-or-pot rule. Snooker 900 Score is the scoreboard built for it. Both clocks run where you can see them, with audible warnings as they run down. The shot clock restarts on every visit. When the frame clock reaches zero the frame is settled — and if the scores are level, a blue-ball shootout decides it. MADE FOR SCORERS, NOT SPECTATORS Scoring is one tap per ball. The app knows what is on: only the balls that can legally be potted are lit, and it tells you what it is expecting. Fouls take a ball value rather than a flat number, so the penalty is right without you working it out. WHEN THE BOARD AND THE TABLE DISAGREE Every scorer needs to fix something eventually. Tap either player to open one correction screen that handles all of it: • Adjust either score, or both at once, by entering what the board should read • Set how many reds are actually left on the table • Undo the last shot — it names the ball it will remove before you commit • Move a break to the other player if it went down against the wrong name Both clocks stop while you correct, and the app asks you to restart the frame when you are done, so nobody loses time to admin. MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY • Snooker 900 — the full timed format, the default • Club — no clocks, standard fouls, respotted black on a tie • Competition — 60-second shot clock, no frame clock • Custom — set the clocks, ball-in-hand and cushion-or-pot yourself Play a single frame or a match up to best of nine. Give either player a starting-points handicap, or both — they are set independently, so two players can each play off their own mark. KEEPS THE RECORD Every frame is stored on the device: final scores, high break, total points, balls potted, reds and fouls for each player. Match history builds up over time, with win rates and head-to-head records between the players you actually play. Leave a match part-way through and it is waiting where you left it, clocks and all. YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS No account. No sign-up. No internet connection needed, ever. Everything stays on your device, and you can delete all of it from Settings whenever you like. BUILT TO BE RIGHT The scoring engine is a single shared rules engine covered by an automated test suite, and every score is derived from the sequence of shots rather than typed into a box. That is why a correction can put things right without quietly breaking the frame around it.

What's new

Either player can now start on none, and handicaps go up to 40. Setting a player back to zero used to switch the whole handicap off, so a head start could only be set up in one order. The switch now keeps its own setting: leave one player on none, give the other their points, and nothing disappears while you do it. Turning the handicap on no longer pre-fills a player either — you say who receives the points.
