One-time purchase. No subscription, ever. RECORD LIKE A FIELD RECORDER Choose Lossless for uncompressed 48 kHz 16-bit PCM WAV, or switch on 32-bit float for extra headroom against clipping. Four smaller AAC tiers (Studio, High, Balanced and Voice Saver) save space on long days. Record in mono, or stereo (true left/right needs a stereo-capable input). SHAPE THE SIGNAL GOING IN In Lossless quality, a live input FX chain — gain, limiter, and low-cut filter — works while you monitor or record. Auto Record, on any quality, can start and stop on its own when the level crosses a threshold, so you're never caught fumbling for a button. A SAFETY NET FOR HOT SIGNALS In Lossless quality, turn on a Safety Track and every take also saves a second copy at -12 dB, with no limiter. If the main track clips, the safety copy usually hasn't. It doubles the storage a take uses. SAY IT, MARK IT Say "good take", "cut", "circle this", "fix this" or "alt take" (English) while rolling and a marker drops at the start of that line, tagged KEEP, CUT, FIX or ALT — no touching the screen mid-take. Voice markers need the live transcript running. The MARK button works too, and every marker can be renamed. Export markers as Premiere XML, DaVinci Resolve EDL or Final Cut Pro FCPXML files (markers only, no audio). LIVE TRANSCRIPT, AS YOU SPEAK Takes are transcribed live as you speak, and the transcript is searchable afterward and editable by hand. On Android 13 or newer with a language model installed, transcription runs on your phone. Otherwise live transcription can use your phone's online speech service. A saved take can be transcribed on-device only. SCRUB WITH THE WHEEL A real jog wheel steps through playback one second at a time in either direction, for setting precise in/out points without guessing. CLEAN reduces background noise, and SAVE TRIM saves your selection as a new file — your original take is always kept untouched. SET IT UP ONCE Quality, channels, gain, safety track, and every other setting is remembered and restored next time you open the app. BUILT FOR LONG DAYS ON SET In Lossless quality, pre-roll captures the five seconds before you hit REC. The screen can dim during long takes to save battery, recording keeps rolling in the background with an ongoing notification, and, if you turn it on, Flowphonic switches Do Not Disturb to priority-only when you start recording and restores your setting afterward. YOUR VOICE STAYS YOURS Flowphonic asks for the microphone to record and transcribe, notifications so a take can keep rolling in the background, and — only if you turn it on — Do Not Disturb access. There's no account, no cloud backup, and no Flowphonic server: recordings stay on your device unless you export them. The one exception is live transcription, which can use your phone's online speech service when on-device recognition isn't available or is switched off. Your library of titles, markers and transcripts is encrypted on the device; audio is saved as ordinary WAV or M4A files in the app's private storage.
