Slate turns a phone into a calm, single-purpose learning device for a child aged 4 or older, and nothing else. No internet to wander into. No profiles. No infinite scroll. No ads. When you hand the phone over, your child sees one quiet place to learn and can't get anywhere else until you unlock it. What's inside • Read-along stories: every word is narrated aloud, so a child who can't read yet can follow along and tap any word to hear it. • A growing library of calm, illustrated classics: the same stories told in editions for ages 4–7, 7–10 and 10+, with new titles added regularly. • Earned play: a calm little game your child unlocks with reading time.
