Log a problem by room, add photos, videos or documents, and record calls, messages, visits and their outcomes. View your case by room and media type, or follow what happened in a dated timeline. Explore general rights information matched to the case details you select. Each item shows when it applies and links to an official source before its explanation. Rules vary across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and by tenancy and landlord type. When you need to share a record, choose what to include, review a factual disrepair report or letter, then export a PDF. A generated letter remains a draft until you mark it as sent; only sent letters appear on the timeline. Create an encrypted backup in a folder you choose and restore from that file when needed. Backup completion is checked before the app calls it verified. Rentfile is an independent evidence-recording tool. It does not verify what a renter records, contact a landlord or authority on your behalf, submit a complaint, guarantee a repair, or provide legal, medical or professional advice.
