Skosh: Dating and Friendship

Skosh is a culturally driven dating and friendship app for people living between cultures. Unlike generic swipe-based apps, Skosh integrates biometric identity verification, lifestyle expression features, and unique discovery modes (Go Local, Go Abroad, Go Away) to ensure safety, trust, and authenticity. Core Features (Live in This Build) Biometric Verification: Every user completes a TopShot liveness check before interacting, creating a safer and verified community. Cultural Layers: Members highlight cultural identity and values, adding depth beyond photos. Go Local / Go Abroad / Go Away: Flexible discovery modes for connecting nearby, abroad, or when planning travel. Daily Rhythm: Users share their lifestyle through a timeline format for authentic introductions. Tag Me If This Is You: Prompt-driven interactions that add personality and conversation starters. HintDrop (for women): A subtle nudge feature that allows women to express interest without sending a Like, creating a playful and natural way to connect. Safety & User-Generated Content Compliance Report & Block in Chats: Accessible via the chat header “⋯” menu (Report / Block). Moderation System: All reports are routed to our backend moderation system. Repeat offenders are flagged or suspended. Blocking: Immediately severs the match, prevents future contact, and hides both users. Industry Standard: Like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge, reporting is focused where user-generated content occurs — inside chat. Combined with mandatory biometric verification before discovery, this ensures stronger safety than profile-only reporting. Community Guidelines: Linked in onboarding and accessible in-app. Privacy & Data Protection Privacy Policy: Linked in-app and on the App Store (https://skosh.app/privacy-policy). Consent Prompts: Required for camera, photos, biometrics, and location. Data Security: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Biometric templates are securely stored and never shared. User Control: Users may delete their account and data at any time. Monetization & Transparency Skosh uses a Pay-Per-Like model instead of auto-renewing subscriptions. This ensures: Transparency: Users know exactly what they pay for. Fairness: No surprise or recurring billing. Flexibility: Likes can be purchased as needed or earned through in-app rewards. Trust: Avoids misleading practices common in the dating space.
