The export works entirely through your existing SFTP/FTP connection — no open MySQL port, no VPN, no firewall changes. MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL are supported. SERVER PRE-CHECK Before backing up, SiteRescue checks your server in seconds: connection, site directory, permissions, CMS detection, PHP execution and database access — so you know what won't work before you start, not halfway through. BEYOND WEBSITES SiteRescue isn't limited to web servers. Use it to back up any remote directory via SFTP/FTP, or export any MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL database — website or not. If you have SFTP/FTP access, SiteRescue can back it up. FAST BACKUP ENGINE A dual-mode compression engine automatically picks the fastest method for your server. Already-compressed files (images, videos, PDFs, ZIPs) are stored without recompression, keeping CPU use low. Caches, node_modules and logs are excluded automatically, saving 30–50% of archive size. SiteRescue handles it all: • Wake lock keeps the screen on • Android Foreground Service keeps the process alive in background with a live progress notification • Automatic reconnection resumes the backup if the connection drops • Resumable HTTP download picks up from the last byte written • Every transfer is checked against the remote file size — a truncated backup is never reported as successful SECURITY FIRST • Optional AES-256 encryption of the final archive with your own password — encrypted server-side, so your device does no extra work.
