Emberlock — Private Journal

Emberlock is a private journal that stays on your phone. Locked behind a PIN, passphrase, or fingerprint and encrypted on your device — so the things you write stay yours alone. No account. No sign-up. No tracking. Emberlock works offline, and nothing you write is ever collected by us — we have no servers and hold no copy of your journal. It’s a quiet, safe place to think out loud. LOCKED & PRIVATE • Open with a PIN, passphrase, or your fingerprint • Every entry is encrypted on your device with strong, modern cryptography • Screenshots and screen-recording are blocked inside the app • Auto-locks the moment you switch away, so a glance never becomes a leak • By design, we never hold your key — we can’t read your journal, and neither can anyone without your code OFFLINE BY DEFAULT • No sign-up, no email, no account to hack • Your journal lives on your phone — we never collect or read what you write • Cloud backup is optional and stays off until you turn it on — and even then it’s encrypted on your phone first, so only your passphrase can open it WRITE THE WAY YOU FEEL • Tag each entry with a mood and watch patterns emerge over time • A calm, distraction-free writing screen that gets out of your way • Autosave, so a thought is never lost mid-sentence • A Recently deleted folder keeps removed entries for 30 days, in case you change your mind SEE YOUR YEAR • A colorful mood heatmap turns your entries into a picture of your months • Spot streaks, dips, and the shape of your days at a glance FIND ANYTHING • Fast search across everything you’ve written • Filter by mood to revisit a feeling or a chapter MAKE IT YOURS • A collection of warm, hand-tuned themes — dark and light • Gentle daily reminders to help journaling become a habit EMBERLOCK PREMIUM Unlock the complete package: • Decoy vault — a second PIN opens a separate, ordinary-looking journal, so there’s never anything to explain • Encrypted Google Drive backup + auto-sync — an end-to-end-encrypted copy saved to your own private Drive folder and updated as you write. It’s encrypted on your phone before it leaves, so neither we nor Google can read it — only your passphrase can • The full mood heatmap — month view, statistics, and every year • More moods to choose from, every theme, and a disguised app icon Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. BACK UP ON YOUR TERMS • Save an encrypted backup file that only your passphrase can open • Restore to a new phone whenever you choose — you stay in control WHY EMBERLOCK Most journaling apps live in the cloud. Emberlock is built the opposite way: private by default, offline by design, and encrypted so that only you — with your PIN, fingerprint, or passphrase — can ever open it. It’s a diary with a real lock, made for anyone who wants a truly private space to reflect, track moods, practice gratitude, or simply remember. Whether you keep a daily diary, a gratitude journal, a mood tracker, or a secret notebook, Emberlock keeps it safe, simple, and completely yours. Made by Single Origin Studio. Private journal • Secret diary • Mood tracker • Offline notebook • Encrypted diary with lock
