Morse: Vibration & Light

Converts the text you type into Morse code and delivers it two ways: short and long vibrations, and short and long flashes from your phone's torch. WHAT IT IS FOR • Sending a message silently — keep the phone in your pocket and feel it • Signalling at a distance — with the flash, visible at night • Learning and practising Morse code — following it letter by letter • Sending SOS and emergency signals FEATURES • Vibration and flash toggle independently, or run together • Speed control: 4–20 WPM, with the dot duration shown in milliseconds • Live highlighting of the letter currently being played • Dots and dashes drawn as short and long bars — readable at a glance • Total message duration shown before you start • Turkish character support: ç, ğ, ı, İ, ö, ş, ü • Digits and punctuation • Works without an internet connection (except for ads) • Light and dark theme ABOUT THE TIMING The app follows the ITU standard: dot 1 unit, dash 3 units, intra-character gap 1 unit, inter-character gap 3 units, inter-word gap 7 units. Speed uses the PARIS standard (unit duration = 1200 / WPM), so the Morse it produces reads correctly to anyone who knows Morse code. The vibration pattern is handed to the hardware in a single call, so the timing is not affected by how busy the phone is. NOTES • The flash option requires a rear flash on your phone; if there is none, the option is shown disabled with the reason. • At very high speeds the flash cannot keep up because of hardware latency; the app warns you when that happens. • The app does not request camera permission and never takes photos or video. The app is free and contains ads.
