The app functions by parsing transaction notification SMS messages from supported Ethiopian financial institutions to create an organized overview of your spending habits and budget status. How FinSum Works: FinSum requires permission to access your SMS messages. This is a core functionality used solely to identify and extract transaction details (such as amount, date, and merchant) from bank-sent alerts. This data is processed locally on your device to build your financial dashboard. Key Functional Features: Automated Expense Logging: Automatically detects transaction alerts from banks including CBE, Telebirr, Dashen, Awash, and Bank of Abyssinia. Budget Tools: Users can manually set monthly spending limits and receive alerts based on the automated tracking data. Spending Analytics: Generates visual reports and charts based on your categorized transaction history.
