Pathways Awarua: Road Code is a collection of over 50 interactive modules developed to help learners prepare for the light (car) driver licence test. Modules include finding out about the licence processes, and important skills like scanning for hazards, using the give-way rules, using round abouts and understanding road signs. These modules are also designed to support the development of literacy and numeracy skills. Interactive The modules are carefully structured. As users move through each module the teaching scaffolds are removed until the learner is more independently using the new skill. Each module includes a sequence of screens, which actively engage the users in learning tasks. The users interact with the content through drag and drop, multi-choice, check-box, highlighter, draw, and open-answer question types. Own pace and level Users can freely move between modules to find those that meet their next learning needs. Tailored feedback Users receive immediate and customised feedback on their answers. Progress tracking Users can create their own account on the Pathways Awarua website to track their progress. Users accumulate points and certificates for questions answered. Check out other Pathways Awarua apps for more learning pathways, including reading, writing, listening and numeracy.
