Sila Tehilim

“Sila Tehilim” is the app of silatehilim.com for reading Tehilim: in Hebrew, in English translation and in transliteration. Everything essential is already inside the app and opens without an internet connection. TODAY’S TEHILIM The app opens the chapters set for the current day on its own. The Hebrew date and the day’s chapters are worked out on the device itself, so the daily reading is there even where there is no signal. ALL 150 CHAPTERS Every chapter — in Hebrew with vowels, in English translation and in English transliteration. The panels switch on separately and the type size adjusts. Hebrew always stays Hebrew. The app carries five text versions in all: Hebrew, English translation (JPS 1917), English transliteration, Russian translation and Russian transliteration. The English interface shows the Hebrew and the two English texts; the Russian interface shows the Hebrew and the two Russian ones. KIVREI TZADIKIM An archive of 238 burial places; 236 of them have coordinates and are marked on the map. The list and the markers sit on the device and open with no connection — only the map background comes from the internet. “NEAR ME” Sorting kivrei tzadikim by distance is worked out on the device itself. Your coordinates go neither to our server nor anywhere else. HEBREW CALENDAR AND YAHRZEITS A calendar of the yahrzeits of tzadikim. Star the ones you observe and the app reminds you the evening before and on the day itself. The second day of yom tov outside Israel, a yahrzeit in Adar in a leap year, a yahrzeit on the 30th in a short month: the app asks how it should be counted for you, and follows your answer. FROM THE SITE Articles, books and videos. An article you have opened stays on the device and can be read later with no connection. NO SIGN-UP There is no account — no name, no email, no phone number. No advertising, no tracking, no third-party analytics. Notifications arrive only if you switch them on yourself; without them the app works in full. The Sila Tehilim site is a non-profit project for spreading Torah. The app is free.
