Full description
The floodlights hum, the crowd leans forward and the LED scoreboard over the badminton court reads zero all. You bounce on your toes at the baseline, shuttle in hand, while your rival waits across the net. You tap a shot key and the rally begins: a high clear to push them deep, a soft drop that dies just over the tape, and then the shuttle floats up above head height. Your POWER bar is full. You step in, you swing, and a thunderbolt smash cracks into the far court. Shuttle Storm is side-on badminton against computer rivals, played with a run pad and three shot keys. Here is what waits on court. • Three shots, three jobs. Clear sends the shuttle high and deep, Drop just clears the net, and Smash punishes anything lifted above head height. • A POWER bar that rewards patience. Every clear or drop charges it, and when it is full your next smash becomes a thunderbolt. • A run pad for footwork. Hold where you want to stand between baseline and net, or drag on your half of the court. • A landing ring that shows where the shuttle will fall, so you can get under it in time. Switch it off in Setup once you trust your reading. • Rally-point scoring. Every rally wins a point, and you need a two-point lead to close out a game, up to a capped total. • Quick matches on your terms. Pick a rival, choose one of five skill tiers from Rookie to World Class, then pick Sprint, Classic or Marathon format and a court. • The Rally Drill, where the coach never misses. Keep the shuttle alive as long as you can and earn two coins for every return. • A Locker full of looks. Spend coins on six player kits, from Storm Teal to Ice Line, and five shuttle trails such as Lightning, Comet and Prism. • Three courts to play on: Storm Arena, Sunset Gym and Midnight Hall, the last two opening up as your tour moves on. • Twelve awards to collect, from Walk On for your first match to Giant Slayer for beating a World Class rival. • Left-handed controls that swap the shot keys and the run pad, plus haptics and an animated arena you can turn on or off. • Offline from first serve to last point: nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy and not a single advert. Coins come only from matches and drills, and the court resizes for small and large screens. • An eight-city World Tour from Lisbon to Copenhagen. Each stop brings a new rival with their own style, a tougher target, a coin prize and up to three stars for a wider winning margin.
