Providing a VPN is not the purpose of this app — it is the technical means for the fraud warning. Why is VpnService required? Android only lets an app see which site you are opening if it registers a local VPN service. Fake Defense AI evaluates only the DNS requests on your device and derives the domain name of the page you are about to open. That is the only way the app can warn you before you order — including in shopping apps, in-app browsers and links from messengers.
